AMD Touts Flexible Platform Initiative
At CES today, reports ExtremeTech's Loyd Case, AMD revealed details of its platform initiative, called "Better by Design." Aimed at Intel's platform branding, such as that company's Centrino brand, AMD promises that Better by Design will offer partner companies--such as Atheros, Broadcom, and Nvidia--inclusion in the branding initiative. It's All About the TV/PC
Senior editor Dan Costa reports that bridging the gap between the television and the PC is a major theme at CES 2007. Secure Wi-Fi is About to Get Simpler
Today at CES, the Wi-Fi Alliance announced that network security is about to get a lot easier to manage: Instead of selecting a security method and entering a password to connect to a secure Wi-Fi network, you'll be able to connect by simply pressing a button or entering a short PIN code.
