If you enjoy flitting around the planet courtesy of Google Earth but feel a bit constrained by using your traditional mouse to navigate, Logitech has a very cool solution. The 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator looks a little like a tiny UFO, including its blue glow. That design may not be coincidental, either: the SpaceNavigator turns mousing into a soaring 3D experience. By pulling up, you rise up; push to the left, right, forward, or back, and you move in those directions. There's a learning curve, but altogether it's a fabulous way to use Google Earth, but it also works with many other 3D applications, including Google SketchUp, design applications from Autodesk, Dassault, and more; others are being added.
Take a look at PC Magazine analyst Davis Janowski's detailed review of the 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator here.

Hi,
As a long-time road design consulting engineer, and from reading this essay, it seems that 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator is a very useful tool to road design engineers, who use Google Earth or Virtual Earth..!!
