My office is very, very cold. I spend most of the day at my desk, and I've often wished for some way to keep my hands warm while using the computer. I've tried gloves, but the fingertips always get in the way of typing. I thought about these USB warming mittens, but I'm a fashion-conscious geek, and they kinda cramp my style; plus, having a USB cord running from my hands to my computer could be a problem.

In my quest for all things warm, I discovered the USB Warmer Mouse from USBGeek.com. After you turn the mouse on, it warms up to a maximum of about 104 degrees Fahrenheit over several minutes, keeping your hand nice and toasty. The built-in heater does have its own on/off switch, so in the middle of the summer you can keep it turned off. The manufacturer claims there's safety material between the heater and the components of the mouse, so the heater won't damage its inner workings.

The mouse itself is no slouch: It sports an 800-dpi optical sensor, glowing blue scroll wheel, and padded feet for smooth use. It's available for $17.00 with $3.00 shipping.
