I'm tired of waking up every morning to a boring old buzz or the annoying traffic news on the local FM channel. I want to wake up gradually so I'll feel refreshed and ready for the rest of the day, and the Rise and Shine Bedside Lamp does just that.

The Rise and Shine lamp isn't just a nice looking lamp on your nightstand, it also doubles as an alarm clock that offers the very best wake up experience. Even better, it plays eight soothing nature sounds so you can listen to a chirping bird as you slowly awake from your slumber. The lamp comes with a Xenon light that will light the room up like you're sitting in a tanning booth, and Verilux promises it will energize you better than ever before.

Post by Don Reisinger

Based on the "Circadian Rhythm," which measures our body's reactions to sunlight and noise, Verilux designed the Rise and Shine lamp to give you the most beneficial wake up through the use of sounds and light. Simply set the alarm to your desired wake up time and decide when the light should start to come on. If you choose sixty minutes before your desired wakeup time, the light will slowly and uniformly become brighter as you get closer to the time. Your favorite sound will also play in the background (mostly environment sounds), for the best wake up you've had in years.

But if waking up isn't for you, the Rise and Shine also features a sleep mode to get you dozing off in the most relaxing way. Simply program your lamp from five to sixty minutes, and the light will slowly lose brightness while the sounds reduce in volume and you drift off to sleep.

The Verilux Rise and Shine comes in two colors (ivory and black), and features AM/FM support. Get your rest like never before for a whopping $268.90 direct.

I just checked this one out at the Veriluxstore.com site. It sells for $149.95 for one, and $224.90 for two. Now THAT'S a good price!
