Elmo.jpgThis "Hack Your Elmo" guide was posted last year, but with the holidays quickly approaching and Elmos propogating, it seems an appropriate time to mention it here on Gearlog. Basically, the site provides instructions on how to get your "Elmo Knows Your Name" audio player to say your child's name, or other words that aren't already programmed. This guy found that Elmo has a very limited palette when it comes to feeding time--so he decides to add whale and seal to the menu. He messes with the coding as such:

PLAY_ONE_DAY+[100MSEC]+ELMO+EAT+WHALE+AND+SEAL+[300MSEC]
+MMMMMMMM+[200MSEC]
#CHILDSNAME -- child's name (as defined)
#FAVCOLOR -- color (as defined)
#FAVFOOD1

There's a video included of the final product, but it's quite fuzzy and hard to understand. If anyone actually tries this out, please let us know! (I'm hoping Mr. Costa Living is still planning to shave TMX Elmo to see what the $%^& is making him laugh so hard.)
