In an email Tuesday about the CES Innovations Awards, Samsung semi-accidentally mentioned three phones they plan to introduce at CES, but haven't been officially confirmed yet. (I know it's an accident because they've scrubbed any mention of the phones off the press release on the Web.) The new phones are:

  • The Samsung i760/Robin for Verizon
  • The Samsung Flipper for Sprint
  • The Samsung Spear for Cingular

Rumors have been flying around the Web about the i760 Windows Mobile Pocket PC PDA/phone, but I haven't heard a thing about the "Flipper" or "Spear." Most of the chatter about the i760 has been about a GSM version, and Verizon's will probably be somewhat different. I'll obviously have to look into this further.

Update, 12/8: Knowledgeable poster tuolumne on HowardForums says the "Flipper" might be a Samsung Ultra Audio F300, which PhoneScoop spotted on the FCC site and was profiled on an Italian Web site. No guarantees. Nobody I could find knows what the "Cingular Spear" is. Remember when you look at stuff about the i760 and F300, they're likely to change their features in the transformation from GSM to CDMA.
