Hopefully, everyone's having a great holiday season so far, but those who had to travel were probably keenly aware of how close their luggage sometimes is to disappearing and ending up in Cancun (where I sure wish I had ended up sometimes instead of JFK Airport). Rather than attaching those standard boring luggage tags to prevent arrival woes, use Circuit Board Luggage Tags that express "I'm a geek!" on one side, and "don't lose me!" on the other with the address card. They come in a set of three and sell for $12.97.
The Circuit Board Tags may not keep your luggage from making a wrong turn at Albuquerque, but at least it will be dressed to impress. [via ChipChick]

I am headed back to Melbourne for business in a few months and I figured I'd give a little advice to those who travel a lot for work (or just in general). I stayed at the Rialto during my previous vist and my biggest gripe from then was that their bellhops were always tied up or nowhere to be found. I had to tote my own bags and suitcases around for the majority of my time there, and while not a major problem, it was certainly an inconvenience. The one good thing to come from that though was that immediately after returning to the States, I went out and bought a new set of luggage. One that was lighter and less bulky than my old set.
Hopefully the Rialto won't have that same problem next time, but it did give me the perfect opportunity for an upgrade that was long overdue. I went with Samsonite, but there are quite a few other top notch brands out there as well. Here's a good article for anyone else thinking about switching their luggage like I did.

To be honest, I don't know how I ever got around with my old set. I guess suitcases are like mattresses, things we never think about replacing, but as soon as we do the difference is immediately noticeable. As I found out via the hard way, a reliable set of luggage that isn't too difficult to carry around yourself (if necessary) is something every traveler needs, especially the frequent fliers like myself.

Thanks for sharing this. These are great ideas for stocking stuffers to give to my kids and grandkids who travel frequently. I could probably use a pair for myself as well. I don't travel very often, but when I do, it will be better to know my luggage is properly ID'd in case it gets lost. Thanks again.

Cool! Aside from the very affordable price these luggage tags really speak about my personality. I'm a virtual assistant and have been working like a mad Internet geek for the past few years. Two months from now I'll take a trip to Boracay and I'll definitely get a set of those beautiful tags for my equally beautiful luggage.
