Just when you thought they couldn't put a heater in anything else, along comes the Hammacher Schlemmer Heated Vest. Perfect for those cold nights waiting in line to get into a club that you just know is going to be hot inside.
The vest is made of polyester fleece and is reversible: black on one side, gray on the other, and is thin enough to fit under a jacket. It uses an embedded carbon-fiber mesh and infrared heater to evenly warm the fabric without the need for heating elements or a ton of wiring. Carbon
fiber; that's the stuff that the stealth fighter is made of, isn't it? I have to say, the vest looks almost as cool, and one can be yours for $129.99.
The rechargeable batteries in the vest give you about 4 hours of continuous heating; you can easily turn the heat on and off with the included controller. And the electronics--the battery case and controller--can be removed when you need to toss the vest into the washing machine.

I was psyched about the heated vests from Hammacher Schlemmer. I ordered two, both arrived and both have a faulty battery connection so that they power off if they are moved at all, like the kind of movement you'd have wearing a vest, with original shipping and paying to ship the broken vests back I'll be vestless and out about 50 bucks.
