If you were looking to record those documentaries on sand erosion, but TiVo just doesn't give you the flexibility and options you were looking for, then Monsoon Media's HAVA Wireless HD ($249.99) may be for you. It lets you stream videos and remotely view content over the Internet, and you can also use it as a personal video recorder. (The similar HAVA Pro HD is only $199.99, but it isn't wireless.)
Just connect the HAVA to your TV, cable, or satellite box, and you're good to go. It streams video in MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 formats and you can view it from any PC in the house. If your PC is connected to the Web, you can also view and control it remotely from online. HAVA also enables TiVo-like functionality on the PC: You can record, store, pause, rewind and fast-forward stored video. The HAVA can also function as a wireless tuner card for Microsoft Media Center PCs.
As if "Law & Order" (my favorite show) wasn't already on enough channels... With the HAVA I can watch it on every PC in the house, too.

the new hava pro hd IS WAY BETTER tha n the slingbox since it allows for more than one person to log on and enjoy TV, and it is completely wireless and also has double the resolution as the slingbox.
