Available now for 10 percent off via Dealhack, this rubberized keyboard could be a fun gift. The keyboard connects to your PC and supports audio playback of more than 128 instruments, 100 pre-set rhythms, tone effects and includes a few pre-recorded songs. You can also record your own originals (and covers) as you tickle the (rubber) ivories.

All yours for $27!

I actually bought a similar roll up piano for my goddaughter that also seems cool. It's called the Roll-up Piano Mat ($23.95) and it features a lesson mode and the ability to record the music you play.

Great idea, and a nice sound. However there is an issue with latency on the device so the sound comes about .5 of a second after pushing a key. This might be resolved with a software update, however the manufacturer's website has gone at time of writing. There might very well be some other software out there that will work with the keyboard but most need a MIDI input rather than taking it from USB.

i bought this thinking i could play my software synths with it. alas you can only use the poorly written buggy software that comes with it. and there's that .5 second delay which sort of makes this item a waste of time and money. it's a cool idea but very poorly executed.
