Anyone desperately trying to find a PlayStation 3 to place under the tree next week might have a hard time believing it, but today GameDaily is reporting that there is actually a supply glut for Sony's new game console. OK, you're unlikely to walk into the local Toys 'R' Us and find one just sitting on the shelves, but the story cites a report from NotifyWire that indicates that the supply for the PS3 is actually higher than expected.
The reason, the report adds, is that some consumers may be putting off the purchase because of the console's steep price. Compared with last year's Xbox 360 launch, the PS3 has been in stock more often, in more locations and for longer periods. That's probably little comfort if you can't find a PS3 right now, but the good news (for would-be buyers anyway) is that the auction prices on eBay have also fallen. So if you're still looking, do some clicking. You might just find a Christmas miracle after all.

Actually I think I was lucky.
Last week a friend of mine turned on his cam to show off his PS3 and I asked him where the hell did he found one... and it was at EBGames! they still had 4 in stock. But they were still telling on the counter just on the right of the cashier that there was none left.. Maybe they were just fed up to be asked, I don't know.
Well, goal of all this: Ask if there are in stock, and just insist, because the guy was joking with me and admited he still had 3 left in stock when I went :)
Good luck!

Thanks for that tip, Max. Looks like the rumors of scarcity are slightly exaggerated...

My comment? My comment is that all these brain dead.idiots need to turn off their game systems/computers and carry their dumb as dirt asses back to the fourth grade and learn proper grammer, spelling and sentence structure.I'm not worried about them reading this and getting mad because 97% of them can't read anyway!!!
