I've been writing a lot about iPod video glasses lately (like the 22Moo HMD800 and the myvu iPod); I'm sure you're wondering what my fixation is. The i-Theater may not be a Wii, but I need some piece of new tech to distract me in my Wii-deprived world, or I'll lose my mind.
The i-Theater glasses offer a 50-inch virtual screen and will connect to your iPod or any device that has a RCA AV-out. The glasses weigh less than 3 ounces and feature dual-QVGA TFT displays and integrated stereo headphones, and can run for 6 hours on one charge.
Currently, the glasses are only available in Japan. But surf on over to Dynamism, and you can pick up a pair for $329--a lot less than some competitors.

As a vision impaired person with a bunch of spine trouble from leaning forward to read my computer monitor all day... I am wondering if it is possible or sane to substitute these for a monitor on a daily basis? I have keratoconus, extreme nearsightedness and retinal damage so I've got the vision impairments pretty well covered for my age. Still working... or trying to. I would love to hear from a person who has used multiple versions of these products how they work on text and over the long term, durability and comfort etc.
Thanks,
Kate
