Sanitizer.jpgSure you want to keep your baby clean and protect him/her from nasty germs. But you also don't want to use harsh chemicals or detergents to do so. The aptly named Children's Toy and Bottle Germ Sanitizer could be just the solution. It uses dry heat (no chemicals!) to eliminate up to 99.99 % of germs from baby's bottle, pacifier, and small toys (including rubber duckies of course!) in just 30 minutes. It gets up to 165 degrees F in there, but the company promises that the machine won't shrink or fade fabrics. It sells for $69.95 from Hammacher Schlemmer, and is small enough to sit right on your kitchen counter.

When you need to do a small load of laundry, but it's not worth using a full-size machine (or if you don't own one), the Avanti Eco-Egg Mini Washing Machine is just the size for baby's clothing and cloth diapers. (see image below)

It holds up to 2 pounds of clothing, and you can use it to wash and rinse or soak--there's no spin dry cycle. The machine hooks right up to any faucet and comes with hoses for filling and draining the machine. And it looks like an egg! Quite the conversation piece.I've seen it for as low as $9.99 on eBay.
