 SlingPlayer Mobile, which lets you watch your own TV from afar, is one of the most exciting applications on any smart phone platform. So I was a little sad when I saw it didn't run on the new slender, popular, Wi-Fi-packing T-Mobile Dash. Have no fear, though. The folks at Sling Media have tweaked their player and sent me a new version which works perfectly over Wi-Fi on the Dash here in PC Magazine Labs.
The new version will become public soon, so keep an eye on Sling's Web site and community forums for the update.

My fiance' has the Dash. She wouldn't let me install the SlingPlayer and patch. How lame is that? ;)
