My experiences last Halloween taught me that a padded suit and plastic helmet do not make me the golden avenger known as Iron Man (there wasn't even a pocket for my iPod). But a recent partnership between SEGA and Marvel may lead to a fun Iron Man videogame in the near future.
SEGA has recently entered a worldwide licensing agreement that gives it exclusive interactive rights to develop and produce Iron Man games based on both the comic book character and upcoming movie, starring Robert Downey Jr. and directed by Jon Favreau. Perhaps the most gadget riddled super-hero out there, Iron Man has long deserved a great videogame based around his technological antics.
Hopefully, SEGA's longstanding reputation for producing fun and edgy titles will help any future Iron Man game from suffering the common pitfalls normally associated with most franchises that are made into licensed games (I'm looking at you, Fantastic Four, Blade, and any game with the word "Matrix" in its title).
