With all the hype and hysteria surrounding the launch of the Sony PlayStation 3, you'd think there was nothing else going on in the world. (The war in Iraq? Monster tornadoes? Britney's divorce? Hello!)
Now that I have that out of my system, massive kudos to Kyle Monson, associate editor at PCMag.com, who's been helming the news desk admirably this week. He's been all over the PS3 launch, documenting the fanatics and entrepreneurs on line outside his local Best Buy since Sunday waiting for the fabled gaming console to go on sale. Last night, he and reporter Bryan Gardiner attended launch events bicoastally--Kyle here in New York and Bryan in San Francisco. If you couldn't be there yourself, you really should read their intensely detailed and slightly punchy story (with additional reporting by Angela Chang), and check out the slideshow that goes along with it. Good work, guys!
