As much as we'd love for children to stay small and cute forever, they have to grow up (and thankfully, get potty trained) eventually. LeapFrog understands this eventuality and has created a new screen-based learning platform to accommodate: The Little Leaps Grow-with-Me Learning System transitions between the needs of a baby and those of a toddler.
The main ingredient of this flexible learning system is a two-in-one wireless controller that flips over to change from Baby to Toddler mode. With parental guidance, babies experience stories and songs via chunky Slide and Toggle buttons in Baby mode. When they outgrow this, they can play independently using the joystick in Toddler mode (which is more like a regular joystick), exploring topics like numbers, letter names and sounds, and cause-and-effect.
The Little Leaps Grow-with-Me Learning system requires a TV and DVD player for setup and includes an interactive learning disc with three sample games, a parent guide, and a learning activities guide. More interactive learning discs are also available with new original LeapFrog content such as Say it Baby!: Verbal and Vocal Discovery, and Leap Ahead: Classic Learning Concepts.
The LeapFrog Little Leaps Grow-with-Me Learning system, for ages 9 to 36 months, is available for $39.99, and the interactive learning discs go for $17.99 each. This makes for a great gift and one that's sure to last, at least until toddlers graduate to Nintendo.
