Now this might deflect a little of gamers' laserlike focus on the PS3 and Wii: Amazon.com may soon be offering 1,000 Xboxes for just $100 a piece!

The site is letting customers vote for one of four products it'll sell for a ridiculously low price on November 23 (yes, Thanksgiving Day) at 11 A.M., PST. The other choices are an Amazon Prime Membership, a Mongoose Domain Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike, and a Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses Interactive Genevieve Doll.

Yes, the Barbie is tempting! But as I write this, over 84 percent of the vote is in the Xbox's favor. Click here to cast your vote.

Geez man, I was hoping no one would find out... and I'd get a Xbox360...

I was hoping no one would find out too, but I knew better. They're only giving away a thousand, I think, so those puppies will be gone in less than a minute or so.

Still, I'm sorely tempted to be up at 11am to give it a shot. But you'd better be quick! The voting site is full of people just test posting so they can set their system clocks against Amazon time!
