The holiday season is my favorite time of the year. And for good reason - there's hot chocolate, A Christmas Story playing 24/7, tofurky (I'm a vegetarian), and just a general jolly-ness in everything.

And from the looks of it, PayPal is getting festive too! The company announced plans for a massive rebate promotion just in time for the hordes of holiday shoppers. From November 23 to May 15, PayPal will offer up to $100 million in rebates (up to $20 per customer) for various online shopping sites. And if that's not enough for you, some businesses will also offer free shipping to PayPal customers.

So that means I could snap up gifts from sites like Dell, HP, Sharper Image, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, and iTunes, and still have some money left over for that Red Ryder BB gun with a compass in the stock. Just don't call me a scrooge!
