veronicamars_web.jpgMy most favorite show premieres tonight on the C-Dub: Veronica Mars! Veronica is a detective and a gadget geek who solves many of her cases using high tech methods. For instance, last season she found a dead body using Bluetooth. She's also tracked people (including her dad) with GPS monitors, swapped cell phones with unknowing classmates, and her good friend Mac (an Apple lover) handles the hacking and other devious tech.

In Veronica's messenger bag you can find a T-Mobile Sidekick, a Nikon D70s (from the looks of it), and a nice-looking Apple notebook--any fans out there know the exact model? My best guess is the G4.

The conversation below (from episode 2.19) really captures the essence of Veronica Mars' world:

Veronica: Mac Attack, what's the haps?

Mac: I got mugged. By my own principal. They took my cell phone interceptor, and apparently plan on keeping it until the end of the year. What happened to "end of the day"? Why wasn't that working?

Veronica: Everyone still kept bringing in their cell phone interceptors?

Mac: Is there any chance you can get it back for me? I borrowed it from my buddy at Radio Shack because apparently, I've become a psycho ex-girlfriend and I wanted to listen to Beaver's cell phone calls. ...You're judging me.

Veronica: No. I'm judging myself. Why don't I have a cell phone interceptor?

Mac: Please, respect the business model, Veronica. I do the gadgets; you do the actual espionage.

Veronica Voiceover: I don't know if waiting for Clemmons to go to lunch qualifies as espionage, but setting off his secretary's car alarm? Pure Bond.

So don't forget to watch Veronica Mars tonight at 9pm EST on the CW! I hear it's a good one.

Veronica did use a G4 in Seasons one and two. Now it´s a MacBook Pro;) Plus, I think she does also have a new mobile, not sure though. Looked a bit different.

Her new phone is a Sidekick 3...and I think she has a new Nikon D80 for Season 3 but I'm not sure. I hear the show has been cancelled though so we might not see much more.
