JumbotronRemember when I posted about the Godzillatron? Well, our very own Jason Young, president of Ziff Davis Media's Consumer Small Business Group, witnessed the Godzillatron firsthand last weekend. Here's what he had to say:

The mighty University of Texas Longhorns might have lost the much heralded grid iron showdown versus the Ohio State Buckeyes last Saturday night, but they did lay claim to clear national dominance as the owners of the world's largest full screen video board.

The Jumbotron, aptly named Godzillatron, is a 7,370-square foot, high-definition Daktronics LED scoreboard.  It's sheer size and image clarity is nearly as inspiring as Vince Young's final dash to National Champion glory in last year's Rose Bowl. All of the sudden that 50" screen in your TV room that made you so proud suddenly inspires feelings of inadequacies.

What this clearly shows is that the magic of technology pales to a messianic figure of Jesus exhorting his Chosen 11 to conquests of all who oppose him upon the gridiron... yea, I say unto you, Buckeyes, you shalt be laid low, like the wheat at harvest time, by the mighty warriors of South Bend... Go Irish! Can I get an amen?

Regarding the Godzillatron at Texas, the post referred to it as a Jumbotron, which it is NOT. Jumbotron is a trade name of Sony, and they don't build 'em any more. The Godzillatron was made by Daktronics of Brookings, South Dakota.

Still perpetuating that Texas lie that Godzillatron is the world's biggest...... That still belongs to the new screen at Dolphins Stadium, no matter what Texas "school officials" say. Can;t they just be content with having the biggest scoreboard in college football?
