Gizmodo reports that the Stiletto 100 should be available in September: They saw it listed in the Crutchfield catalog with specs and pix. The Stiletto 100 is Sirius Satellite Radio's first portable player to have an integrated antenna in the included headset for real-time reception. The device will also be able to store and play up to 100 hours of your MP3 or WMA music files. It'll be Wi-Fi enabled for music streaming, come with two batteries (one standard, and one extended life, which offers 4 hours of live Sirius reception, 14 hours of Wi-Fi, and 22 hours of stored playback time), and retail for $400 through Crutchfield (no info yet on costs at other retailers). Will we like this as much as we liked the neat little portable player/receivers XM came out with a couple months ago, the Samsung Helix and Pioneer Inno? As soon as our audio analyst, Mike Kobrin, gets one in for review, we'll let you know.

Google Launches City-Wide Wi-Fi Headed to Mountain View, CA? If so, you can get free wireless...

Is that really a picture of the new Stiletto? With a name like that, you'd expect something that looks cool, but that looks like a retro remote control or something - uhhhhh gleeeee! I hope it works better than it looks! The Inno and Helix have it all over this thing for style points - not sure I'd want to be seen lugging one around.

Looks great. Having a truly portable device rocks. Sirius has beat XM in subscribers for the last three quarters. Looks like Sirius will continue to win. I want one now. XM is so UN-COOL.

Portable --looks luggable! I can see why Mel wants to merge before people get to see how bad this receives in the live mode and how many Chrysler subs did not pay at the end of the free year (to SIRI 1 yr = 19 months counting as a sub)

Neato. Now if the corporate scum that controls the music biz would allow some real musicians to sell some REAL MUSIC, there would be something to play on this gizmo.

According to Crutchfield, the height & width dimensions are the same as the XM Inno, but this is twice as thick. Maybe that's needed to dissipate the huge amount of heat that every other Sirius unit seems to give off. And unlike the Inno, which docks on its side to reduce the amount of needed space, this sits in its dock straight up, making the unit + dock over six inches tall. Not as bad as the huge S50 dock, but still too big for most.

How amazing is it that 2 years ago no one even knew who SIRIUS was.....now it has completely reversed. Wait until NASCAR leaves XM next year to see a complete failure for XM....GO SIRIUS! HOWARD STERN IS DA MAN. This unit is going to be unreal....I currently have the S50, but I want a true portable unit. I'll be the first guy in line for this one.....already found a buyer for my S50! :)

I love the Pioneer Inno and been waiting for the Sirius equivalent. If it matches or beats the Inno performance/functionality at all I will be the proud owner of both XM and Sirius portables. Don't care for Stern but football and college sports...drool.
