iCush.jpgImagine playing Halo, and feeling the sudden jolt of a bullet impact... or running downfield in Madden 07, and feeling your body rock as a linebacker plows into you... or playing Call of Duty, and experiencing the rumble of a nearby grenade explosion.  HoMedics, maker of numerous massage products (cushions and mats, people!) claims the new iCush can make these experiences a reality.

The iCush is a portable massage cushion made to vibrate in sync with your video games, movies, or music. Just plug it into your gaming device and let it do its thing. The iCush features universal audio input and speakers on both sides of the headrest that play music or video game sounds, with or without the vibrating mechanism. Integrated hand-controls let you adjust intensity, speed, and location of the vibration as well as the heat of the pad.

The iCush will be available this fall for a suggested retail price of $119.95. Another version, the MP3 iCush, will have just the massage features and sell for $49.99.

Thanks to our intern, Errol Pierre-Louis, for this post!

May not be as good, but they're cheaper! Target, as part of it's big Back To School blowout, has been selling a couple of varieties of gaming seats with speakers in them (compatible with other portable media players as well) from 70-90 dollars. I don't have model numbers and Target's website is a nightmare, so you'll just have to stop by to see what I mean. :) But still, I'm thinking about tossing my beanbag chairs and getting some of these for the living room! I'd probably play more console games if I got the "whole" experience, you know?

I got this iCush from Bed Bath and Beyond, and have tried on it! The speakers are terrific. Being able to adjust the speakers to position on the Z axis in addition to the Y axiz is a major positive. I was able to position the sound so that it hit directly towards my ears. The force feedback vibration is very fun to have during game play, particularly for sports games. There is nothing betther than feeling the chair go crazy when you score! It's awesome!

I'm a gamer. I play alot of Halo on my X BOX 360. My parents got me this iCUSH from Bed Bath and Beyond. I tried it out and then made them take it back. The speakers sound REALLY bad. The vibration is soooo annoying and doesnt work right. It just goes when the sound goes. Complete Gimmick and a waste of money.
