I'll bet you've never seen a pick like this before. There are several guitarists on staff here who are panting to get their fingers on the Light Pick, from Santa Cruz Light Wells ($59.99). Yes, it lights up, which is always a big plus. But it does a lot more: The Light Pick has a built-in metronome, with numerous beat patterns and adjustable tempo; the light flashes on the two last beats of the measure you're playing. Blink Mode keeps the light on and flashing to whatever tempo you wish, and Hold mode keeps your most recent settings. It comes with 3 swappable tips (for light, medium, and heavy use), and you can buy different color enclosures to vary your own personal light show. The enclosures can be right-handed or left-handed. We'll be getting one in to test soon, and we'll let you know how it goes. Rock on!
