ifan-on-jeremy.jpgOver the weekend, I took a little shopping trip through big box retail: that's Kmart, Wal-Mart, and Target (no, I couldn't find S-Mart). While Kmart is a great source of some things--inexpensive snack foods, cheap sneakers, pet supplies, heck, lots of things--it's not too great at the electronics. The few cameras I saw were trapped in giant glass cabinets, safe from theft I imagine.

That said, I did stumble across this little gem of a product, from O2-Cool: the iFan. Flavor Flav had his giant clocks; I've now got my giant iPod-looking fan. And while the design is a lawsuit waiting to happen, the strangest thing about it is it's very existence. Are there a great many people suffering the pangs of neck sweats? The bearded, perhaps, and the extremely obese... thoughts, anyone?

I'm with you on this one, I smell a lawsuit a'comin. Maybe both Creative and Apple will file against them! And you wear this thing around your neck? Isn't it heavy? :)

No it's not heavy. I love it and wear it in Texas in July. It's not about neck sweats fool..it's about cooling your neck, face and chest. It's the opposite of putting on a cap for warth. Cool the neck, face and head down with this nifty little fan. I bought mine at Walgreens.

Neck fans are wonderful in hot weather - they make it bearable, even enjoyable. It's great to be cool as a cucumber while everyone else is dripping with sweat.I wear one when the weather's so hot it saps my energy and I've had plenty of people ask me where they can get one or wanting to borrow mine 'just for five minutes, please!'.

Ironic as it may seem, even though the fan is super tacky looking, it surprisingly works very well. It uses 3 AA batteries. When you wear it around your neck the air blows up into your face so you dont have to hold the fan as your walking around, unlike other "cool" looking fans, you have to hold to to face you. I went to the Philippines last summer and it was scorching hot, but i never felt it cuz i had a constant stream of air blowing up at my neck.

I had a total hysterectomy in January. Sent me into immediate menopause. So for those of us in this beautiful time of life, it's a God send!
