When my eyes first caught a glimpse of the JOBY Gorillapod, I thought it was a creature from outer space. But, the Gorillapod is all too real: it's a small, tripod-like, bendable and grippable structure that attaches your digital camera to the surface of just about anything: guard rail, cabinet, chair, tree branch, etc, freeing your hands to capture those memory-making moments. The Gorillapod weighs 1.6 ounces and can hold any camera with a maximum weight of 12.5 ounces. Coming soon are the Gorillapod PRO and the Gorillapod SLR. Back in January, DigitalLife reviewed the Gorillapod. Watch the video and find out what they thought of it. The GorillaPod is now available on ThinkGeek for $21.99.

it would be cooler is you could control it by remote and make it walk to the spot you want it at!

Wow! I had seen photos of this a little while ago and just figured it was fake, or something someone made for themselves and was never planning on selling to the masses. It's real!? Color me impressed!

This looks so cool, I'd love to get my hands on one.

This is nice, but I'll wait for the pro version. It's an evolution to the standard tripod, and none too soon, but I'd like to see one a little bigger and capable of bearing more weight. It would be cool to have one that would support my DV cam, too.
