Symantec has been positioning Ghost as a backup tool in recent years, but I still see it mostly as a disk imaging application. It's a very useful tool for creating a snapshot of your hard drive that you can store on another disk, CDs or DVDs. I typically do this when I get a new computer and finally have all my software installed and configured the way I like it.
