It seems like a strange concept, but many people are now putting coupons that they receive up for auction on eBay. I'm sure you can relate to the situation. You get a valuable coupon in the mail but, amazingly enough, you just don't have anything to spend it on before it expires. So you throw it in the trash. But wait! There are people out there who can use the coupon. For instance, every week or so, I get a $20 off $75 coupon from Office Depot. If you were about to buy something from there for $75 or more (and that's typically before rebates), it would be worth your while to purchase the coupon from me for a few dollars. You still save money and I can now afford a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Before you go and make your next big purchase, go to eBay and do a search for the store you want to buy from, or the product that you want to purchase, and add the word 'coupon' at the end. For example, a search on 'dell e1705 coupon' yields several people offering up coupons for as much as $750 off a notebook. Coupon prices are typically $1.99 to $3.99. Don't plunk down your money until you've read all the fine print. When does the coupon expire? Will the seller be able to get it to you on time? Sometimes they can just email you a scan, but they may have to mail you the actual coupon. Also check out the feedback on the seller. And do a search of bargain sites like Techbargains and SlickDeals to make sure you're not paying for a coupon code that's already available online for free.

Gearlog has been without the services of Sascha Segan for the last few days, because he is out in Vegas covering CTIA. If you want to see what he has been doing, check out PC Magazine's CTIA page which is loaded with news stories and his constantly growing photo blog. (Of course, it hasn't been all work) IMHO, the coolest thing he has found so far is this 7 megapixel camera phone. By the looks of it, this is more of a camera than a phone, but 7 megapixels is pretty impressive. It is a shame so little of this technology is going to be available in the U.S. any time soon.

Remember that song, "Barbie Girl"? Well, someone should do a remake and change the words to, "I'm an iPod girl, in an iPod world. Life in music, it is rhythmic. You can dress me up, or play me anywhere..." because it's like everything is for your iPod these days...iPod costumes, iPod baby outfits, iPod boxers, iPod neckties, iPod belts, iPod mittens...the list is never-ending and yet, so addictive. Over at ThinkGeek, they're selling the iPod Mono-Strap Backpack.
