icar.jpg

I missed this preview toy at the 2006 Toy Fair, but it deserves a shoutout, especially for those of us who own no actual car in which to listen our iPods. The realistic Corgi model car (you can choose from a Cadillac Escalade or a Nissan 240 SX) serves as a speaker for your music player, and "rocks right to left, front to back, and up and down to the music" to your tunes. That sounds lively! And also sounds kind of like how I drive in an actual car, when someone lets me.

The iCar can connect to any digital audio player and also comes with "its own cool music." No details available on what that might be. Look for it in late summer, at a suggested price of $34.99.
