Basic wireless phones often get short shrift from us at PC Magazine, because we're geeks. But face it, a lot of people just go to their cell phone store and take whatever phone is free. So, for my second phone I won't review, I thought I'd hit a real cheapie.  Sprint PCS Voice Phone 200 by Sanyo
Why the long name? Sprint likes to rebrand their phones so you know who the real boss is.
So what do you call it, Sascha? It's the Sanyo SCP-200.
Lowest price: $19.99 with two-year contract
Key features: Speakerphone, analog roaming, color screen. Comes in three body colors (silver, blue or pink.)
Pros: Sanyo phones generally have great reception and extremely loud speakers.
Cons: No beauty contest winner, even in pink. No external screen for caller ID.
Summary: All it does is voice and SMS, but it seems to be fine for both of those things.
Would I recommend it, based on no knowledge whatsoever? Maybe. The LG VI-125 is the perfect basic Sprint phone. But Sanyo's reputation for terrific reception means you should look at this one if Sprint coverage is weak where you live.

I have that phone, nothin is wrong with it, i know u didnt say nothin wuz wrong wit it but damn get a life. U a cell phone critic! dumb. A phone is a phone bitch!

I got dis phone like n june and mine is actin all dumb. I think i need a new one cuz it really is not working. Yea it sucks though cuz u cant get ring tones or nothin cuz it doesnt have internet and u cant put it on. its a cool phone though and the speaker is loud. its scratches easy which sucks!!!!
